A FRIEND who holidayed in Cyprus with Claudia Lawrence says she would never have left York to go and live abroad.
Jen King, 24, who works as a barmaid in the Nag’s Head, near Claudia’s home in Heworth Road, said Claudia had spoken of the possibility of moving to the Mediterranean Island.
But Jen said: “There were never any moves to make it happen and I’ve absolutely no doubt in my mind that it would never have come to fruition.
“Claudia loved being with her family and friends too much and she would have been terrified to go out there by herself.”
Jen, who visited Cyprus with Claudia last October, staying in the resort of Coral Bay, said she did not know who the men were police wanted to speak to.
She fought back tears as she appealed to anybody who knew who was responsible for Claudia’s disappearance to “search their consciences” and come forward.
