Tadcaster Albion were 6-1 winners at home to New Earswick in division one of the York FA Under-19s Football League.

Earswick took the lead with a great header from James Bond, however Tad equalised with a penalty and then went on to win comfortably with goals from Rich Lindsey, Scott Goldsmith, Tom Ledhill, Mark Watson, Ryan Butcher and Jake Derry.

A superb second half display saw Poppleton canter to a 6-2 win over Easingwold.

Easingwold went ahead after 15 seconds as James Moverley capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake.

Dan Gunnell levelled, but Mike Shaw scored an own goal to put Easingwold 2-1 up.

Zander Blair made it 2-2 on half-time and Poppy bossed the second half with Justin BenFord, Theo Ford Adam Ferguson and Blair scoring.

Wigginton thrashed reigning champions Fulford 9-2 at home.

Adam Thornton and Ben Thompson scored three apiece, while there were also goals from David Fisher, Jordan Walters and Tom Metcalfe.

David Ray scored both Fulford goals.

Rawcliffe were subjected to a smash and grab raid at Heworth as the hosts defended superbly and bagged a winner through Luke Laverack.

In division two, Ripon gave a good account of themselves against a strong Thorpe side before going down 2-1.

Ryan Lofthouse and James Leadbeater netted for Thorpe, and Tom Hixon replied for the hosts.

Knaresborough won 5-0 away to Strensall, with goals from Dan Chetcuti, Craig Ramplin, Connor McDaid and George Tyreman.

Panthers United scored six against Rufforth.

The goalscorers were Bobby Clapham, Sam Clayton (2), Nathan Hebblethwaite, Tommy Medd and Sam Brady.

A mistake by goalkeeper Callum Hannigan gave Jack Bainbridge the chance to pull a goal back for Rufforth.

Huntington and Dunnington played out a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Copmanthorpe beat Haxby 7-3, with Oliver Bird scoring four of the goals.

John Cox scored twice and Matthew Leach rounded off the scoring.
