JUNIOR footballers in Elvington Harriers are celebrating a £8,175 grant from the Football Foundation.
The cash injection will allow the Charter Standard club to develop their junior section to meet an ever-increasing demand.
Chas Thornton, welfare officer at Elvington, said: “We welcome the Football Foundation funding, which will support the further development of a safe, secure environment for football for all age groups in the area.”
Paul Thorogood, chief executive of the Football Foundation, added: “We warmly congratulate the club and the local FA for their hard work and dedication in securing this award.”
