I WOULD like to thank all the people in Heworth who voted Green Party in the recent by-election.
I stood on a platform of openness and honesty; prioritising environmental and social issues; and working hard to solve local problems.
I am delighted that so many people supported the Greens in such a hotly fought by-election contest.
A Green vote is never wasted as each one puts pressure on the other parties to take forward our agenda.
We will be building on this result and the experience we have gained for the full council elections in 2011.
