ST PAUL’S have been crowned as John Smith’s Men’s Darts League division one champions, after completing the season with an 8-1 win over New Inn.
Acomb were runners-up after defeating Britannia 7-2, while Crescent ‘A’ won division two despite losing their last game 5-4 to Tang Hall. That result secured Tang Hall runners-up spot by one point over Sun ‘A’.
Division three went right to the wire before Severus won the title with an 8-1 win over Derwent ‘B’.
Favourites Tree ‘B’ could only finish second after losing their last game to their ‘A’ team 8-1.
Presentation and finals night is at Holgate WMC tonight, 8pm.
St Paul’s trio Paul Cooper, Mick Harris and Chris Thompson, plus Acomb’s Keith Turner are competing for the division one individual title.
The night also features the division two and three individuals, plus the pairs and triples.
