CELEBRATED hairdresser Trevor Sorbie is cutting a new career – styling wigs for people with hair loss.
The 58-year-old stylist to the stars gave a masterclass on wig-cutting at Betty Brown’s in York.
The Clarence Street shop is part of a national network of salons taking part in My New Hair, an initiative launched by Trevor three years ago to offer practical advice and support to people suffering from hair loss, either following cancer treatment or through alopecia.
Trevor began the venture after his sister-in-law lost her hair after chemotherapy and asked him to cut a wig for her.
“I realised the power I had to help her through the most difficult time of her life,” said Trevor.
