PUPILS from a York school will be walking on the wild side as they swap their classroom for five days of woodland adventure and games in the dark.
Tregelles, The Mount Junior School, organised a week of activities in its woodland area for Year 6 children, including a chance to birds of prey such as barn owls, hawks and falcons.
The week will also include an overnight camp with barbecue, campfire and games in the dark. Head teacher Mary Anderson said: “Outdoor education plays a crucial part in the learning and development of young girls and boys. Go Wild Week provides the perfect opportunity for our pupils to explore beyond the classroom in a safe and natural environment.”
