PUPILS at a York school are on a litter-busting mission.
As part of Dringhouses Primary School’s Green Week, youngsters in its foundation stage and key stage one groups have donned green aprons, grabbed giant green rubbish sacks and headed out into the playground to pick up every scrap of rubbish they can find.
It is the St Helen’s Road school’s contribution to the Big Tidy Up campaign, organised by Keep Britain Tidy.
This will also see children encouraged to take digital photographs during their operation so that, once they return to the classroom, they can run the rule over what they found and produce graphs outlining the results.
