POSTAL workers raised hundreds of pounds for charity when they went head to head in a football match.
It was Royal Mail collection drivers versus processing staff in the game at York College, where the drivers secured a 3-0 victory over their colleagues.
The players, who were all from Royal Mail’s Leeman Road sorting office in York, collected money on the gate and held a raffle at St Clement’s Working Men’s Club, in South Bank, York.
They managed to raise more than £600 for Wetherby-based Martin House Children’s Hospice
