HOME rider Phil Graves set the benchmark for the first event in the Clifton Cycling Club Thursday Evening Time Trial clocking 21 minutes and 16 seconds to take maximum points – and set a new course record.
The York triathlete has started his racing season in superb form, winning rounds two and three of the national Rudy Project Time Trial Series and defeating some of the best time trialists in the country.
Elsewhere in the Clifton TT League, Leeds Mercury’s Callum Sewell was second in 24:15, while last year’s joint winner, Clifton’s Nick Butcher, was third in 24:55.
First woman home was Cath Musgrave (Clifton) in 28:47 ahead of Anabel Still (University of York CC) who clocked 29:50.
