PUPILS at Millthorpe School have been rewarded for their exam revision work with a dance and three-course meal at The Royal York Hotel.
Some of the teenagers from the school in Nunthorpe Avenue, York, turned up for the prom at the four-star Station Parade venue in limosines and a large group arrived in a red double decker bus.
The event, which cost £6,200 to put on, was organised by pupils Lucy Rodgers, Hannah Bixby, Amy Pendleton, Jade Kent, Eleanor Kerr and Melody Hardcastle, with the help of teacher Liz Watson.
Following an awards ceremony, Dominic Fantie and Jade Kent were named as the prom’s king and queen.
