STAMFORD Bridge Under-10s suffered a second successive defeat in the City of York Girls’ Football League, going down 2-1 at Scotton Scorchers.

Stamford Bridge took an early lead when Millie Templeman broke through the Scotton defence and rifled the ball home. The goal shook Scotton into life and they pressured the Stamford defence until the equaliser came after a good passing move. Eve Ferguson was denied by the ’keeper and then a post as Stamford searched for the winner, but Scotton bagged a second.
