SPRINGING to success were the Huntington School netball team which conquered all-comers to triumph in the under-15 tournament staged at Millthorpe School.
In the group stage, Huntington won all their games and proceeded to repeat the net gain feat as the business end of the tournament took shape.
They toppled close rivals Joseph Rowntree School 7-6 in the semi-final and then ensured a day of glory when they posted an even more convincing 8-5 victory over St Peter’s in the final.
The overall York Schools’ win carried on from the squad’s success of last year when they were national finalists in the U14s English Schools’ tournament.
The winning U15s Huntingon team included: Charlotte Tarn (GS), Imogen Leeman (GA), Tyler Rudkin (WA), Amber Moorcroft (C), Charlotte Branscombe (WD), Lucy Hakings (GD and captain), Taylor Hackett (GK), Meg Branagan (WD), Natasha Winfield (GS) and Kate Whitaker (WA).
