ACOMB beat Crescent ‘B’ and Volunteers in the John Smith’s Bulmers Men’s Darts League.

Acomb’s Adam Thompson (19), Steve Bardy (20), Jack White (21) and Keith Turner (130 bull c/o) helped seal an 8-1 win in a rearranged game at Crescent ‘B’, whose only success came from Ken Smith and Alan Graham.

Acomb then went to second-placed Volunteers, who had Paul Botterill (17), Paul Dixon (18, 20), Paul Cooper (18 & 180) and Mick Harris (109 c/o for 15) playing well. However, Turner (17) and Lee Brundrett (20) secured a 6-3 win.

Martyn Turner (16, 19), Chris Thompson (17, 19) and Neil Hart (2 x 21) gave Clifton a 7-2 win over New Inn, whose Stu Limbert fired a 180.

Fulfordgate had John Mooring (180 for 16) in form, but he could not prevent a 7-2 defeat by Shepherds. Gaz Witty (21) and Tony Cooper (17) were their stars.

Crescent ‘A’ had Rich Plumber (19) and Paul Keers (18) playing well, but Flag had Steve Hedley (19), Tom Hewer (21), Graham Hudson (100 c/o) and the pairing of Lee Rollinson and Gordon Foster to thank for a 5-4 win.

Crescent ‘B’ had Paul Helm (19) and Ken Smith (18) in form, but Britannia beat them 6-3. Steve Snowdon (20) starred for Brit.

Division two leaders Tang Hall’s Kris Outerson completed in 21, but they went down to a rare defeat to Green Tree. Tom Wright (105 c/o) helped secure a 5-4 win for Green Tree.
