KEN Heaton, a member of Fulford Golf Club for 40 years, has died suddenly following a heart attack. He was 71.
A retired plumber, Heaton, who played off 15, was a keen supporter of York Union tournaments for many years.
He won Fulford’s Key Cup in 1980, the Veterans’ Trophy in 1998 and the Benson & Hedges Trophy in 2006.
A funeral service will be held at York Crematorium on Wednesday, at 1pm.
