POLICE are appealing for help as they try to trace a York man who has been reported missing from home.
Ian James Cartwright, 45, who is from the Haxby area, has not been seen by his family since Sunday, February 8. North Yorkshire Police said Mr Cartwright’s family was “deeply concerned” about him.
“Ian is deemed vulnerable as he has been suffering from depression in recent months,” the force said in a statement. Mr Cartwright is described as white, 6ft tall, slim build with short, brown hair. He is usually clean-shaven.
Anyone who has seen a man matching the description or photograph should phone the police on 0845 60 60 24 7, quoting reference number 12090031812.
Information should be passed for the attention of PC 1882 Chris Whitehead, of the York safer neighbourhood team.
