Wilberfoss FC Under-12s maintained their unbeaten record with a 7-3 victory over Old Malton St Mary’s in division three of the York Mitchell Sports League.
’Foss raced into a four-goal lead with two from Matty Cant and one apiece from Alex Foster and Harry Liversedge.
Old Malton pulled one back and were then denied by smart goalkeeping from Brad Vicars and last-ditch defending from Jon Helm, George Bewick, Kieran Screeton, Joe Williamson and Connor Mathie.
St Mary’s reduced the deficit to 5-3, but further goals from Cant and George Alport gave Wilberfoss breathing space.
