TWENTY plenty vision was the province of IT Sports Wigginton who strengthened their Yorkshire Squash League premier division title challenge with an emphatic triumph.

The IT Sports ranks routed visitors Heaton with a whitewash of five wins over their Bradford-based opponents to seal an overall tally of 20 points.

Recalled to the team, Jonny Duffield opened at number five and set the tone for the home delight in front of a packed gallery with a 3-0 toppling of Darren King (11-4, 11-2 11-9).

Matt Lowery was too strong for Saeed Ahmed with 11-6, 11-8, 11-2 conquests confirming another 3-0 triumph, a feat repeated by England junior Neil Cordell, who outclassed Chris Bentley for the loss of a mere eight points (11-2, 11-0, 11-6).

A closer contest was fought out between the respective number two players before Wigginton’s Pete Billson overcame Dominic Hamilton 14-12, 11-9, 11-6 for a 3-0 win and Andy Whipp, playing at number one, rallied from 2-1 down in sets to triumph 3-2 (11-5, 5-11, 10-12, 11-4, 11-8).

The Wigginton wonders now have a one-week break before taking on nearest rivals Huddersfield.
