A THIRD accomplice has admitted his role in a raid on a Spar store in Kirbymoorside when a shop assistant was left tied up.
Anthony John Hunter, 27, of Clifton Street, Scarborough, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary at the store on September 8 including admitting that he and another person took a rope with them with the intention of using it to incapacitate someone.
He will be sentenced alongside Ian Earnshaw, 30, of High Garth, Eastfield, who admitted a similar offence in September and Hayley Marie Magson, 21, of Oxcroft, Kirbymoorside, who admitted aiding and abetting the burglary in October.
Both Earnshaw and Magson each admitted an additional offence involving the incident. They were due to be sentenced next week, but their case is now likely to be adjourned while probation officers prepare a pre-sentence report on Hunter. Both Hunter and Earnshaw are in custody. Magson is on bail.
