HAMILTON Panthers rescued a point with the last kick of the game against Wigginton Grasshoppers in the York FA Under-19s League.
Ashley Hughes’ free-kick earned Panthers a 2-2 draw after the home side trailed twice.
Wigginton had the better of the first half and went 1-0 up through Liam Winfield, while they also missed a penalty.
John Patrick equalised for Panthers midway through the second half, but Wigginton looked to have secured the win with a well-taken goal on the break by Liam Barrett.
Easingwold Town were denied their first win of the season by a stirring second-half comeback from hosts New Earswick.
The visitors led 3-0 at half-time thanks to goals from James Moverly, Ben Stirk and Greg Wilsden.
New Earswick then scored six goals without reply. Dean Bowers and man of the match Danny Peart scored two goals apiece, with a Reece Chappelow penalty and a Sam Grice goal completing the revival.
Poppleton stay second in the table after a 2-2 draw with Fulford.
Poppleton led 2-1 at half-time with two goals by Jack Doyle eclipsing Danny Penrose’s strike for Fulford. Chris Dempsey equalised in the second half. Tadcaster Albion beat Huntington 7-4 with two goals apiece for Ben Fletcher, Rob Ward and Mark Watson, plus a Hugh Barlow effort. Aaron Rose, James Speck and Luke Smith (2) replied for Huntington.
Meanwhile, Dunnington U19s were in East Riding County Cup round two action against Dunnington Magpies U18s, losing 2-1.
Magpies goalscorers were Alex Brent and Matthew Playle.
The U19s responded with a header from Dan Hall.
