TEAM Jorvik swim star Andrew Taylor has taken the plunge with his first foray into the ASA North East Region Junior/Senior Championships.
The 15-year-old, from Ulleskelf, represented the York-based club at the gala and returned some impressive results.
Taylor was the sixth junior home in the 50 metres backstroke, clocking a new personal best time.
He was then ninth placed junior in the 100m backstroke.
A further personal best earned Taylor 15th place in the 50m freestyle.
A founder member of Team Jorvik, Taylor has previously competed at North East Region level, but only in the age group championships.
