IS York confectioner Nestlé missing a trick here, Diary wonders?
A chocolate specialist has launched a bizarre new line of “medically themed” chocs that it suggests are just what the doctor ordered.
The Doctor Indulgence range includes – wait for it – chocolate thermometers, plasters, first aid kits and even pills. The business behind the initiative, Somerset-based Chocolate on Chocolate, claims they are designed to make even the most miserable patient feel good.
Flo Broughton, company founder and chief chocolate lady, said: “We know that small doses of chocolate can be good for our health and large quantities are a great mood lifter, so making the chocolate into ‘medicine’ seemed like the next logical step. Some intensive chocolate therapy can be a great gift to someone feeling a bit poorly or a really yummy self-prescription to use ‘preventatively’.”
But Diary reckons that if you eat too much, as with any chocolates, you’ll probably end up feeling even sicker.
