Muddy Stilettos has revealed its regional winners for its 2024 awards, with several Dorset businesses being recognised.

Over 515,000 votes were cast by readers of Muddy Stilettos for small independent lifestyle businesses across England.

Regional winners from every category will automatically go through to the National Finals that will take place in July 2024.

Dorset 2024 Muddy Stilettos winners

In the Dorset, Somerset & Bristol region, Dorset businesses were recognised in the following categories:

  • Best Beauty Salon/Clinic: Callie Ann Lashes & Brows (Southbourne)
  • Best Boutique Stay: Jurassic Properties (Lyme Regis)
  • Best Cafe: Blackmarsh Farm Café (Sherborne)
  • Best Family Attraction: Seal's Cove (Bridport)
  • Best Hair Salon: Salon Fish (Sherborne)
  • Best Hotel: Moonfleet Manor (Weymouth)
  • Best Lifestyle Store: Brassica Mercantile (Beaminster)
  • Best Restaurant: The Station Kitchen (West Bay)
  • Best Wine & Beer Specialist: The Dorset Wine Company (Poundbury)

The Station Kitchen in West Bay received the regional award for Best Restaurant, which diners seem to agree with, as it has earned a 4.5/5 score on Tripadvisor from 1,585 reviews.

One reviewer wrote: "Great place for something different. Food is good and well presented, staff excellent and the ambience was cosy and eclectic."

Another shared: "Amazing food, very friendly staff and impeccable service. We really felt welcome and at home there. A well-needed bit of class for West Bay and nothing was too much trouble."

Other standout winners for the county include Blackmarsh Farm Café in Sherborne, which serves local produce and uses ingredients grown from their own kitchen garden.

It has earned a 4.6/5 score from 161 Google Reviews, with one person writing: "Went here to have a quick lunch the cafe was nice and the service was good the food didn't take long to come out and it was nice, so full marks all round."

Meanwhile, The Dorset Wine Company in Poundbury was recognised as the Best Wine & Beer Specialist.

On its website, it shares: "From our beautiful shop in the heart of Poundbury, our trained staff are on hand to offer down-to-earth advice on all aspects of buying and enjoying wine."

They have offerings of fine wine, mixed cases, single malt whisky and champagne for those interested.
