I used to think that green was a colour, or a very naive person, but every sentence and subject I read about lately the word green is mentioned, bearing no relation to colour.
I have now read that avoiding a certain junction is "more green". If these "green people" are meaning more environmentally friendly, let us face facts.
To see the world on a globe, the British Isles are a mere smudge, so even if the whole of Britain stopped using any form of fuel and went back to the Stone Ages, this would not make the slightest difference to global warming. One has only to look at a satellite image of the world at night and see where all the fuel is being used - the Far East, ie Japan and China; the Middle East, ie Saudi Arabia; Europe, ie France and Germany; and, of course America, both the US and Central America. On the same image the United Kingdom looks like a candlelight.
By all means try to eliminate waste and recycle where possible. But as for boasting about being "green", for goodness sake get a grip.
