TICKETS are still available for tonight's gig at York Minster in aid of The Press's Guardian Angels Appeal.
The historic cathedral will be transformed into a concert venue, as heavenly organ music gives way to the guitars, keyboards and drums of York band, The Yards.
Fronted by Chris Helme, former singer with the million-selling band The Seahorses, The Yards are putting on the gig for free.
All proceeds will be split between The Minster's own £30 million development campaign and our appeal to raise £300,000 to fund life-saving high dependency facilities for children at York Hospital.
Guitarist Chris Farrell said: "We wanted to do this for local good causes. The Minster is such an integral part of York's history and a high-dependency unit for children is something we really need in York."
Tickets for the concert cost £10 on the door. Doors open at 7.30pm and the gig starts at 8pm with music from support acts Hayley Hutchinson and Andy Stones.
