GIANT bugs are on the loose at a major York attraction as part of the school holiday fun.
The National Trust's Treasurer's House, close to York Minster, has a weird and wonderful array of creatures on display this half term.
Louise Horsfield, visitor service manager, said: "The giant insects are hiding in, under and about our historic furniture, waiting for children to track them down and help us decide which ones can stay and which ones will have to find an alternative holiday home."
The property's Big Bug Hunt family trail is on until Sunday, while the house is open from 11am to 4.30pm.
The trail is free, but admission charges to the house apply at £5.80 for adults, £2.90 for children and £14.50 for a family of two adults and up to three children aged under 18.
