WHILE out cycling last Wednesday evening I met a group of "youths" cycling in the other direction in the A19/A1237 subway.
They did not see me; my handlebars were clipped which sent me flying.
Where the tone of this letter changes is that as I was laid on the floor, a shocking sight in my cycle helmet and dark sun visor like an overweight Power Ranger, winded and bleeding from a head wound, these young lads were hugely apologetic, concerned, constantly checked to see if I was okay, called an ambulance, flagged down a police car, sorted out my bike and tried to keep me warm with a "hoodie".
Hopefully they, or someone they know will read this letter and pass on my thanks to these young teenagers who, through this unfortunate accident, handled themselves with a lot of credit.
In addition, I would like to thank the paramedic crew, who went beyond the call of duty to help me.
