FEARLESS staff at a York-based company threw themselves out of a plane to raise more than £5,000 for charity.

Seven employees of property purchasing company A Quick Sale completed tandem skydives after jumping out of a plane at £10,000ft to raise funds for Crisis - a charity for the homeless. Richard Watters, the managing director of the company, also took part.

He said: "We started raising funds for Crisis in May this year and as a company have already donated £30,000. A group of us wanted to do something that would really challenge us at the same time as raising lots more cash for Crisis.

"Jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft is no mean feat and I'm proud of all the team. It was extremely nerve-wracking and there were a few green-looking faces, but we are committed to raising funds for Crisis."
