AS Chair of The Friends of Selby War Memorial Hospital, I would like to thank Selby Town Council for allowing us to collect at the town bonfire on November 3.
The town council has given unstinting support to the Friends over the past few years.
I would like to record our thanks to them and to Tina Mason, the clerk.
Our thanks also to the people of Selby for contributing £1,314 to the funds of the Friends.
My personal view is that Selby has one of the finest town councils in North Yorkshire.
