A five-try display by Henry Rollinson was not enough to win him the man-of-the-match award for York Acorn U9s away to Shaw Cross as the hard-working Ben Mews got the nod.
Mews got two tries, as did Jack Wyard, with another coming from most improved player Luke Cooke. Will Dickinson and top tackler Charles Dickinson defended strongly, while Owen Levers and Lily Anderson showed good handling skills.
