THE toughest of tasks faces St Peter's School Under-18s rugby union team in the third round of the Daily Mail Cup - but they will face their up-coming battle with Ampleforth College with confidence.
The Clifton school demolished Richmond 51-0 in their second round clash and will now travel to Gilling East to take on the might of Ampleforth.
Oliver Hawking, with four tries, ran the show for St Peter's along with Oliver Denton, who notched up a hat-trick.
But while there was joy for the U18s, the U15s weren't so lucky in falling 7-0 to Harrogate's Ashville College.
Steve Williams, St Peter's School director of sport, said: "The U18 game was a good run out for the boys and I am delighted with that performance. We have got Ampleforth in the next round and it is going to be a tough one."
Meanwhile, Selby have received a bye into the third round of the National Colts Cup where they will have home advantage against Caldy in the U19s competition. The tie is set for Sunday, November 18.
