York Schoolboys Under-16s endured an up and down double header against Kirklees and Doncaster.
The York side ran out 4-3 winners over Kirklees, before then losing 5-1 to Doncaster.
The goals in the first game came from Bonney, Bunce, Chambers-Smith and Sansoni.
Feasby and Brown were strong in midfield for York, while an impressive performance from goalkeeper Moss ensured York edged the tight encounter.
However, against Doncaster, York were unable to control the game, which allowed their South Yorkshire opponents too much possession.
York threatened more late into the second half and were eventually rewarded with a goal from Sansoni.
