A FORENSIC collision investigation unit went to the scene of a serious crash which blocked York's Holgate Road last night.
The unit attends all fatal/potential fatal & life changing collisions, providing specialist plan drawing and scene modelling for serious crime scenes where appropriate.
North Yorkshire Police shut the road to traffic outside The Fox pub as a result of a crash further along the carriageway at teatime yesterday.
Diversions are in place via Hamilton Drive.
Footpaths have also been closed to pedestrians.
York Police South Tweeted:
🚨 There has been a serious RTC on Holgate Road, Acomb. A diversion is currently in place between Hamilton Drive and The Fox public house. Please use alternative routes where possible.
We don't know how long this will be in place but will reopen soon as we can.
Police remained at the scene at 10.10pm.
