Cyclist taken to hospital after 'medical incident' on A19
THE A19 was closed near Selby this morning after a "medical incident" involving a cyclist.
It happened between Barlby and Riccall, near the business park.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called at 11.20am to reports of a man falling from a bike.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service has confirmed it was a "medical incident" and one man was taken to York Hospital by road ambulance.
An air ambulance also attended, as did two rapid response vehicles.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident. It was reported as open and traffic flowing shortly after midday.
