LOCAL branches of M&S have joined forces with Macmillan Cancer Support for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
M&S stores across North Yorkshire are partnering with Macmillan for the ninth year to support local people living with cancer and help them live life as fully as they can.
Customers are invited for a coffee and a slice of cake throughout September, with ten per cent of each sale from a range of foodie treats, including a special Colin the Caterpillar range, going to the charity.
Last year, stores in North Yorkshire raised £110,541 to fund professional Macmillan roles, such as nurses, occupational therapists and dieticians, in local hospitals and within the local community.
Nationally, M&S and their customers have helped raise over £13 million
for the charity since 2010, funding 65 Macmillan professionals in the last year alone.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning takes place on Friday, September 28. To get involved visit www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee and join the conversation on social media using #CoffeeMorning .
