A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted in an alleyway near York city centre.
The victim was walking along an alley between Nicholas Street and Milton Street on Monday, August 13, when a man approached her and touched her inappropriately.
The incident took place between 11pm and 11.30pm.
The man is described by police as white, around 6ft tall, of medium build with a grey beard and a local accent. He was wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms.
North Yorkshire Police have put out an appeal for anyone who may be able to identify the man or provide them with information.
