TODAY marks the first anniversary of a York charity shop.
The St Leonard's Hospice shop in Fossgate will celebrate with balloons, cake and a half-price sale throughout the day.
Manager Lesley Holmes said the shop
She said: "Over the year we've had fantastic donations from second hand socks to quite pricey jewellery, right across the board.
"It really doesn't seem like a year, it's gone really quickly. We've been warmly welcomed by everyone in the area, including our fellow traders."
