YORK artist Susan (Lottie) Holliday will attend the evening launch of her exhibition at Village Gallery, Colliergate, York, on August 28.
village gallery, Colliergate, York Susan works primarily in acrylics, painting atmospheric semi-abstract land and seascapes. "Many of Susan’s pictures depict dramatic scenes, not based on exact memories, but a combination of landscape, rocks and sea that begin with one idea and, as she says, 'then the picture takes on a life of its own'." says gallery owner Simon Main.
On display and available to buy too are works by three York artists, Julie Lightburn, batik specialist Rebecca Mason and plein-air painter Malcolm Ludvigsen.
