POLICE found what is believed to be an imitation gun in a car after stopping an 18-year-old in Selby.
Police stopped the car as it was being driven along Bawtry Road at around 8pm on Sunday.
The suspected imitation gun was found under a seat in the car, Traffic Constable Mark Patterson said.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possessing an imitation firearm, North Yorkshire Police confirmed.
He was questioned by police and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue, the force added.
