The British Wool Show takes place at York Auction Centre, Murton, on Saturday
THE British Wool Show 2018 was taking place today at York Auction Centre in Murton, near York.
The aim was to raise the profile of British wool and the many products made by the British textile industry, cottage industries and craft workers, said a spokeswoman.
"Whatever your chosen craft, there will be exciting treasures for you to discover as you explore the stands at our show," she said.
"Not only will you find wool from fleece to finished items, but other items you will need to enjoy your chosen craft."
The show will run from 10am to 4pm.
