THIEVES broke into three businesses and stole two vehicles and two caravans.

Humberside Police said the thefts happened on Saturday, July 21, when thieves broke into two businesses on the industrial estate at Carnaby, near Bridlington, and stole a Landrover Defender and a white Ford Transit van.

Following these two burglaries, the vehicles were then driven to Catfoss, where another business was broken into and two touring caravans were stolen.

Police said that during that burglary, the adjacent field was set alight which the force was investigating as arson.

A spokesman said: "The Landrover Defender and one caravan were later found following a collision where they were abandoned near Jocks Lodge, Beverley. The Ford Transit van and a Sprite Quattro six-berth touring caravan have still not been found or recovered."

Anyone who saw anything suspicious, the crash, or who has information which could help the investigation should phone Humberside Police on 101 and quote log 462 of July 21.
