AN anti-fracking protestor has been conditionally discharged for six months.

Vanda Gillett, 41, whose address at her first court appearance was given as the protestors’ camp off Habton Road, Kirby Misperton, denied obstructing the highway in Habton Road, but was convicted at a trial at York Magistrates Court.

She was ordered to pay a £20 statutory surcharge and £100 prosecution costs. The offence was committed on October 11 during an anti-fracking protest.
