I’M writing to you as chair of the trustees of St Michael’s Spurriergate.
You carried the news that we had to close the cafe in the Spurriergate Centre last week but the Centre remains open to serve partners who run the International cafe for students, meals for homeless people, City of Sanctuary, as well as use by a local church for worship.
The trustees welcome suggestions for use by other groups who would like to make use of the facilities and office space to assist the trust to continue to provide its vital counselling service, fair trade shop and support for those in need.
We are keen to talk to groups or individuals who might want to use the space in keeping with the ethos of the trust’s aims and objectives. Trustees will meet again next Monday (July 16) so please register your interest with me via email to purplepatch57@gmail.com and I will put the suggestions to my fellow trustees at that meeting and get back to you.
Richard Staples,
Chair, St Michael’s Trust,
Spurriergate, York
