ORGANISERS of an annual festival are calling on York faith groups to help them reach out to people suffering loneliness and isolation.
Action group York Older People's Assembly (YOPA) is organising the 14th annual York 50+ festival, which takes place in September and October, and is looking for people to put on events.
Previous year's events have included coffee mornings, workshops, concerts and talks.
The deadline to register an event is July 7. Registration forms can be requested from yopa.festival@gmail.com or downloaded at www.yorkassembly.org.uk/yq/festival.
A small fee will go towards printing programmes and posters.
