The Bluejays present Rock And Roll Revolution, York Theatre Royal, Saturday
THE Bluejays celebrate the world-changing music of the 1950s in their electrifying and authentic tribute show Rock And Roll Revolution at York Theatre Royal this weekend.
Between 1955 and 1959, artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran and Little Richard not only transformed the musical landscape but also the way we now look at the world.
Rock And Roll Revolution is "much more than just a concert show" as The Bluejays – winners of the National Vintage Award for Best Band – take Saturday's audience on a historical journey wherein they reveal how the rock'n'roll movement, rather than being “a communicable disease”, elicited a dream of equality and freedom that we still chase.
This guided tour will be illustrated by the biggest hits of the era, such as Rock Around The Clock, That's All Right,That'll Be The Day, Tutti Frutti, Summertime Blues, That'll Be The Day, Johnny B. Goode, Wake Up Little Susie, La Bamba and A Teenager In Love.
Tickets for this 7.30pm show are on sale on 01904 623568 or at yorktheatreroyal.co.uk.
