THE glorious weather looks set to end with heavy rain forecast for the region this afternoon (June 11).
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain between 1pm and 10pm today for York and across North Yorkshire.
In York, the maximum temperature today will be 21C.
Tomorrow, it will be a cloudier and less warm day generally for the region, although most areas will stay dry. The Dales may see a few showers develop later, although these will be fewer and further between. The maximum temperature is expected to be 19C.
From Wednesday to Friday, the weather is expected to become more changeable in the region.
Forecasters say it will be mainly fine but increasingly breezy on Wednesday, ahead of a wet and windy morning on Thursday.
They say it will be bright and breezy later on Thursday with Friday less windy but with showers.
