A DRIVER has been arrested after police used a stinger to stop a car.
Officers were chasing the car for around 25 minutes after it allegedly failed to stop on the A64 near Fulford in the early hours of this morning (June 11). A police helicopter was scrambled before the car was stopped near Monk Fryston.
Sergeant Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police, said one person was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
The driver also tested positive for cocaine, Sgt Cording added.
