FIREFIGHTERS were called out when a youth climbed up a climbing frame and got stuck at the top.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said its crew was mobilised and used a 9 metre ladder to rescue the youth in Huntington.
Firefighters were also called on Sunday evening to a fire involving a wooden garage in Fadmoor, near Kirkbymoorside, which damaged the roof and wall of the garage.
The owner had used a garden hose to tackle the fire, which was believed to have been caused by residual heat from roofing work earlier in the day. A crew also went to Carmelite Street, York after a smoke alarm activated - but found an aerosol deodorant was to blame.
