A MEETING has been called to discuss antisocial behaviour in an area of York.
Rachael Maskell, MP for York Central, has set up the community meeting on Friday, June 8, at 2pm, at Sanderson House in Bramham Road, Chapelfields, following concerns from residents.
Representatives from North Yorkshire Police and City of York Council will be at the meeting, and while the meeting is primarily about crime and antisocial behaviour, residents can also raise any other issues with the MP.
Ms Maskell said: "I have been contacted by a few people who are worried about the level of crime and antisocial behaviour in the area. They tell me they want more to be done to tackle the problems.
"I am pleased that representatives from the police and the council are attending the meeting to listen to what local people have to say. We can then set out what needs to be done to address the problems. Incidences of crime and antisocial behaviour are a real blight on our communities and we need to tackle the problems in Chapelfields as well as in other areas of our city where there are problems. This will benefit everyone who lives here."
