BOWIE alumni Woody Woodmansey and Tony Visconti's Holy Holy will open their 2019 tour at York Barbican on February 8, with Heaven 17's Glen Gregory on vocals.

The 13-date itinerary will focus on David Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust, The Spiders From Mars and hits from the Bowie years of 1969 to 1973.

Billed as "probably the closest experience to a Bowie gig you can get", Holly Holy's show features Driffield-born Woodmansey, Bowie's drummer in his Spiders From Mars line-up, and Visconti, the producer on many of Bowie’s albums, who played bass on The Man Who Sold The World.

They will be accompanied by an all-star band led by the Bowie-esque vocals of Eighties' synth-pop star Glenn Gregory, a Bowie devotee and friend who performed alongside him on the original Band Aid single, Do They Know It's Christmas?, in 1984.

Tickets are on sale on 0844 854 2757, at yorkbarbican.co.uk or in person from the Barbican box office.
